More new-BreakingNewsEnglish.com Highlights

BreakingNewsEnglish news:

My last post announced some highlights of the new format BreakingNewsEnglish.com.

Two more highlights:

* Lessons will now be at a pre-intermediate level (as well as
the intermediate+ level of old).
* There will be a new lesson every two days (instead of every 3 days).

The first pre-intermediate lesson is on the elephant that speaks Korean.

There are a few other highlights, but I’ll post about these later.

Thank you (again) to everyone who provided me with feedback and keeps doing so – Very, very appreciated – Most of it was/is invaluable and has been incorporated into this revamp.

I look forward to hearing more – about what has been done and what still needs doing.

Best wishes,
Sean

PS I hope to upload a totally new site this month.

Hello Sean, I teach EFL in Spain and really find your website is awesome. I very often use the readings form newsenglishlessons.com for my weaker students and I was wandering if it will continue to be updated as so far. Do the changes on Breaking News English mean that the easier readings will not be uploaded anymore?
Thank you very much, your work is incredible

    Hello Luca,

Thank you so much for your question – For the moment I have started making half the BreakingNewsEnglish lessons at the same level as NewsEnglishLessons. The same “old” activities are there, but there are many new ones too.
If you look at the BreakingNewsEnglish homepage and choose the “Easier” lessons. The text is a little longer but the level is the same.

I’m looking at ways right now to keep NewsEnglishLessons going as well.

    Best wishes,
    Sean

  3. Hello Sean,

I teach ESL online and I find your teaching material invaluable. I often have to pull a lesson out of a hat at very short notice and if there’s nothing suitable in my own lesson plan database your site is the first place I head. You do an absolutely awesome job and in my opinion provide first-rate teaching resources suitable for every skill level.

Thank you for all the incredible work you do!

Sean, I’m a teacher in Spain who has used your websites and lessons for years.
First and foremost, I love the new look. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the 2 page lessons. That is the perfect format. Man, it’s really a great upgrade.
Second, I may be in a position to help and I’d like to. I’m a native American male Voice Actor as well. I record on pro equipment and if you would let me, I’d like to send you a demo, what I’ll do is just select one of your readings at random, record and edit it and I’ll send it to you. If you like it, I’ll be happy to help you by adding a voice to Breaking News English dot Com. You’ve been helping me for years, all I can do is return the favor.
If you want to listen to some of my work, http://www.soundcloud.com (search Nodo420) But most of that is commercial stuff. I teach ESL, I know how to time sentences and can speak clearly either faster or slower depending on the target. All I would need is something to read. I’m a terrible copywriter! :)
    Please get in touch.

    Thanks Ted,
Sorry – for some reason this comment only just showed up in my InBox.
Thank you for all the recordings you have done for BreakingNewsEnglish – They add a lot to my site and give it a greta touch of professionalism.

Looking forward to a lot more this year :-)
    Best wishes,
    Sean
