A Milestone of Sorts
Twenty minutes ago I uploaded my 3,000th lesson.
My first lesson was on November 1, 2004. It was called “Bin Laden’s Election Message?” After uploading lesson #1, I never thought I would make another six materials sites and create thousands of lessons on all kinds of news and topics.
Not sure how many more lessons I’ll make before I hang up my gloves. At 3,000 lessons every six years, I reckon another another 12,000?
I’ve wondered this past week what the the 3,000th lesson would be on.
Here it is:
It’s been a good adventure. Thanks to all who have supported me along the way.

I wish you 3,000,0000 lessons – and even more! Thank you for all the hard and great work you put in, to help all of us teachers use this material for free. Greatly indebted to you. Plus the students love the worksheets too!

I also hope I produce 3,000,000 more lessons. That means I’ll live to be 18,000 years old

Gyongyi from Hungary
Thanks Gyongyi – I’m happy to hear that – It’s the first time in six years anyone has said they like my voice

Hi Sean,
Qe have no words to thank all your effort and work. You are of great help for all of us!! Your lessons are used every week in my classes!!
All the best from Spain,
Eva
I also like to thank for your work……………..
I use “what would you do?” situations in my classes. For example I write a short situation that I hope will generate conversation and even disagreements among my students. Here’s one I used a short while ago which caused a lot of discussion
You are invited to the wedding of your very good friend’s son. You have a problem because you don’t know what kind of gift to give the young couple. When your son/ daughter was married they gave him / her a very cheap gift. Your friend is very well off and could have given a much better and bigger gift/ cheque. What would you do?
Unfortunately I am running out of ideas. I would welcome any that anyone may have. Thanks in advance.
